I found a list of persons who have applied to the commissioners appointed by his Excellency Sir. Jas. Wright Barronet to receive vouchers; and have obtained liberty to settle on the lands ceded to his majesty. On this list is "Bewer,Jobb-s.c. a wife and dau. 4mos old 100 acres Buttrams Creek, second fork." This is dated Nov. 16, 1773. In doing my genealogy research I have noticed that spelling can vary . Has anyone found a S.C. link to the original Job Bowers? Every thing I have found on him says he was born in Va.
His wife Charity remarried Samuel Carr. Does any one know her maiden name?
